Hybrid picking combines picking and fingerstyle technique in an alternating or simultaneous manner and is commonly used in country, bluegrass, & rockabilly guitar. This concept allows the player to pick a bass line while using fingers, play chords, or play entire phrases with a pick and fingers together.
