Vibrato is a tool used for musical expression that’s achieved when a string's pitch is quickly and repeatedly raised and lowered. The effect is a natural vibration common to the human singing voice.
On guitar, vibrato can be achieved by slightly bending the string up and down or shaking the guitar neck while fretting a note.
Famous vibrato: B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan.
