What to expect from a live lesson

How live sessions work and how to participate

Updated this week

Live Lessons at Pickup Music are real-time, interactive sessions led by our Guitar Mentors or guest artists. These sessions provide a unique opportunity to learn, ask questions, and get feedback in a structured, engaging format.

Before joining, please review the Live Lesson Guidelines to ensure a respectful and productive experience.

How live lessons are structured

Each Live Lesson follows a consistent format to maximize learning:

  1. Warm-up & introduction – The instructor outlines the lesson’s focus and goals.

  2. Main lesson content – A deep dive into a specific technique, style, or skill with live demonstrations.

  3. Q&A & interaction – Members can ask questions in the chat or participate directly throughout. (See the Live Lesson Guidelines for respectful participation details.)

  4. Wrap-up & next steps – A recap of key takeaways with practice recommendations.
