AI analysis gives you immediate, automated feedback on a short video of your playing. You’ll receive a summary of strengths, areas for improvement, and a recommended practice plan with links to relevant Pickup Music lessons.
Data use and accuracy: Our AI analyzes your video to offer feedback. It can make mistakes, so treat it as a guide. It's generally more accurate for beginners than advanced players. We may also use your video to improve future responses; see our privacy policy for more details.
Important: AI feedback is not a replacement for expert human coaching. For the most accurate, actionable advice, upload your performance pieces from Learning Pathways for 1:1 feedback from a Pickup Music coach.
Where to find it and how it works
Go to Coaching → AI analysis and upload a video in the upload panel. Make sure the video is less than 2 minutes long and less than 1GB.
Open Coaching → AI analysis.
Click Upload a video of your playing and select your file.
Wait a few moments while the analysis runs.
Review the results:
Strengths – what you’re doing well.
Areas for improvement – targeted advice and musicality notes.
Recommended practice plan – links to relevant lessons.
Tips for best results
Frame both hands and keep the camera steady.
Ensure guitar audio is clear.
Choose a short excerpt that represents the skill you want feedback on (e.g., rhythm groove, lead phrasing, timing).
Accuracy and limitations
The AI can make mistakes. Treat the feedback as directional.
It is generally more accurate for beginners than for advanced players or complex styles.
